Inspired by the 'world-turned-upside-down' texts popular in the 18th and early 19th century, this imaginative series explores popular topics and turns these worlds upside down.Award-winning poet Wes Magee's fantastical and humourous rhyming text is vividly illustrated capturing strange and wonderful scenarios in each of the Topsy Turvy titles. With fun facts about the animals' real habitat and behaviour, this series blends fact and fiction with hilarious results. Supporting material at the back of the book provides ideas and activities to further develop creative writing and comprehension skills.

Wes Magee is an award-winning author for children and for adults. He has published six poetry collections for adults, and more than 100 books for young readers - fiction, poetry, plays, picture books, and anthologies. He regularly makes author visits to schools, libraries, and festivals where he performs his 'Poetry Show' and gives writing workshops. He leads training days for teachers.Tracey Tucker lives in a small fishing village by the sea. How she came to be there is a long and winding tale, but it's the perfect spot for an artist and she feels inspired living there. It's like living in one of the books that she illustrates.
