Phyllis McGinley?(1905–1978) was a Pulitzer Prize–winning poet, an essayist, and a writer of children's books. She studied at the University of Southern California and the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. She was elected to the National Academy of Arts and Letters in 1955 and received the Pulitzer Prize in 1961 for her book?Times Three, a collection of light verse poetry.
